Music Video Finale

Hey guys I'm here with another blog post. This will be my final blog post of the year. We only have a few more weeks of school and that means music videos! The people I am working with in my group, are three girls named Malie, Elena, Megan. Malie is in 6th grade and so is Elena but Meghan is in 7th grade the same grade has me. We chose the song by Jacob Sartorious "Sweatshirt" because we thought it would funny. They all agreed for me to be the main lip sync person, and I guess I'm lip syncing to a sweat shirt now.


The storyline is pretty much just me singing to a sweatshirt. Then me losing my sweatshirt than finding it again. I don't really know how it relates to the lyrics I mean there is a sweatshirt in it and the song is singing about a sweatshirt which is kinda relating. But when I say "you can wear my sweatshirt" I'm giving it to a tree not a person which is weird but they wanted to do that so I guess. we aren't doing that good with meeting up so that is an issue. Hopefully when we do meet up its a productive work and film session.


I dont think this music videos shows our best work but it is what it is. We realized that we didnt have a lot of film and time to edit so we decided to just lip sync with a little tiny tiny bit of story line. The lip syncs are on point though like I could get a grammy for that. We dont really have any effects mostly because we didnt have enough time in the end but its fine.

Movie Trailer Premier

Hello again, I'm here with another blog post titled "Movie Trailer." To sum up the project we are making a movie trailer of a pretend movie. We can make the trailer on what ever we want just has long as there are no guns, blood, pretty much just bad stuff. I contributed to the plan by helping with the idea of the trailer also writing my parts and adding shot ideas. We, well Moira, Elena, Lili and I decided to name the Movie "Outcast" We decided to name the movie this because in the trailer there is this girl and she is always quit in class and one day she goes missing and three kids go out and search for her. It was a journey and we are leaving the trailer on a cliff hanger, did they find her? Will they find her? Or is she just gone.

Our biggest challenge within our movie trailer project was meeting up. There was some confusion on meeting times which caused one of our meetings to fail but we still got some film from the meeting.
We backed up the meeting with a very productive meeting, we finished almost all of our shots also we got some pretty cool looking shots. Our shot types were on point, just looking cherry. Are biggest successes was getting a lot of work done quickly, but making sure it wasn't rushed. I think we could have gone to some better spots to film because we were literally filming on the side of a road for some of our shots which probably made lilli look like a crazy person because she had a hood on and her hair over her face. I even noticed I don't know if my team mates did but a person walking by on there bike had seen lili and she had gone onto the other side of the road. It was pretty funny. Also another success that we had was our movie poster, our first one and the one required to turn in was cherry, it was made by lili. Me and her are currently working on two more for extra credit points for me because my last blog had some errors which caused me to get a B this quarter and if we turn in some movie posters for extra credit that could somehow jump to an A.

Well finally, we finished our movie trailer. We got 2nd for the best movie trailer out of our class. Which is a good thing, we were one vote off from first. It would have been sick if we got first. If my team mates read this I want to thank them for everything that they have done. Our movie trailer was really captivating and thats why we probably got a good placing out of all the other teams. Metamorphosis Animation

Hey guys I'm here with another blog post. Our goal is to have every single scene and shot done by the deadline. We used stopmotion and stykz. Also we used photo shop and white board animation. Those are the animation types we used. I forgot to tell you I'm working with Violet and Akasha.

Our focus statement was respecting others. Most of our scenes was Richard looking for porky the lost pig. But scene 1 was when porky was being abused by Richard. Scene 5 porky comes back and Richard learns not to disrespect porky or other animals cause they will fly or run away. Richard and porky become really good friends.

Our teams results were not that good. I think we could have added some script into it somewhere. Also maybe a little better animation and communication. Our storyboard went well probably the best thing we did out of the project . Our full animation got a 2.9 I think thats a C.

Geometric Portraits

Hey guys I'm here with another another blog post, Are facial expressions universal. Well Charles Darwin wrote a book in 1872. The Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals that “facial expressions of emotion are universal, not learned differently in each culture”. There have been arguments both in favor and against ever since. But in my opinion I think they are.


How have you created this project. First you need a photo of something or someone but it cant be a profile photo, then you put it into photo shop and create some layers and lock them and stuff, then you go to your line tool and outline your subject. When your done with that, make your polygons then blur them. When your done with that turn your outline off and Portrait and boom. Your Low poly is done.

Poly-1 and Poly-2 were a lot different in my opinion. The reason to that is because Poly-1 you didn't have to choose what color you should fade into the triangle, with Poly-2 you have too. Doing that I think it made Poly-2 easier in my opinion and look better. Also in Poly-1 you had to show the outline of the triangles in white and in the Poly-2 you don't have too. Overall I think the Poly-2 was a lot more easy and less stressful then Poly-1 because I feel like I understood it more and it was my second time so I had a little experience.

Verbal Landscapes

Nature has impacted my life by giving me a fun sport to do, surf. Also if nature didn't impact my life I wouldn't be alive because nature is trees water plants etc, The plants and trees produce oxygen so we can breath. Also I broke my shoulder because of nature, sometimes nature can be mean. Nature impacted my life so I can have a home to go home to sleep and eat in because with no trees we my house wouldn't be standing currently.

Time lapse are created by taking a video with a timelapse software or camera or just take a regular video and speed it up in a software. Slo Mo's are created by taking a video with a slo mo camera or taking a video really close to to your subject or object and taking a video and then put it into a computer software to Slow it down. Also there is a timelapse on the I phone camera. Also there is a slo mo on the I phone camera app too.

The hardest part for me was finding a nature tripod. Where I was filming there was never really an even spot so it was difficult to find a spot for my camera to sit. Also the A.V. log was stressful because you had to have your poem be in between 45 seconds and 55 seconds nothing over or below. Also being in the right spot at the right time, It was difficult to get my slo mo's and timelapses exactly what they were in my A.v. log. Lastly getting my parents to drive me to the locations I was taking my videos.




I am very happy with scores. I am confused why 7 people gave me a 4, I honestly think my work was a 2, 13 people agreed with me. The reason I think it should be a 2 is because I had school example timelapse and slo mo in my Retime. I mean its possible I could have got a 3 but I don't really know, 5 people thought I should have a 3. Im very surprised that 3 people gave me a 1, I do not agree with them.

Poetic Personal Statement

 Hey guys my name is Brody and this will be my first blog post of the year. I think poetry means like smooth or inspirational, So if someone were to write poetry they might write about one of there family's adventures. Also they could paint poetry, they paint something like a photo of a waterfall or a trail then people could get words or poetry from the painting. Also they could write about one of there lost family members. Lastly someone could paint words it doesn't always have to be written.

Floating in the water, sand below me, my brother beside me
Sitting on our surf boards, looking at the horizon waiting for a wave
my mom and dad swimming with my dog beside us
a wave comes in I start to paddle I pop up and I smile
I make my bottom turn the wave lip goes over my head
then I wake up in bed the whole thing was a dream
family and surfing is the number one thing.

 I used rhyme by just thinking of words that sound the same. The reason I used rhyme was so that my poetry would sound smooth, I didn't really rhyme good until the last two lines. If I didn't use rhyme then My Poetry wouldn't sound good at all. I encourage people to right poetry because it is really fun to write. You can use websites to find words to rhyme. That is what I did but then again you can make it up yourself

Hi Everyone I'm Back With Another Blog Post and this will be the last blog post for the year, I hope you liked all my projects this year and this last project I'm doing is a Music Video! I Have a feeling this is going to be the best and the more entertaining Project I'm going to do this year. So the storyline is With Ashton, Steven And I, We each have an object that we are Attached to and we sing with it but at the end Ashton Gets All Mad And destroys every object. It Relates With the lyrics because its about a Guy and a girl but for us its a Guy and an Object. Also when we filmed We weren't really doing the storyline, but tords the end of filming we realized oh gosh we haven't even filmed our storyline. Oh yeah the song we are lip-syncing to is "Your Man"By Josh Turner, Its a country song.
My favorite fast edit montage is when its farther away and you switch to a close up. Also another one of my favorites is when your in one location and you film there for like 3 seconds then go to another location and do the same thing so it cuts in-between locations. When you do that Fast-edit montage I feel like it engages the audience that is watching, They would probably think wow this is creative they must have put a lot of hard work into this video. Also they would be able to see different lip syncs in different locations so im guessing the audience watching the music video will like that.

I think it describes are best work because you have different filming in different locations, also it has different angles and and it has us in tree's and We, well Im really enthusiastic in the music video. I wasn't Shy at all because I was having a lot of fun even though there was a crazy kid named Crispin Throwing sticks and objects at us while we filmed. Ashton and Steven were really fun partners to work with. They were really patient and they could show up on time to our film location. They Had a lot of the creative ideas in the Music video.
